Golden Eagle Log Homes hosted their annual fall home tour and dealer training and conference Sept 11-13th. Custom Woodcraft Builders was on hand at Golden Eagle headquarters giving clients tours of the plant, designing their home and assisting on the tour of 5 log homes. Dealers were brought up to speed and all that is new and improved with Golden Eagle for the year ahead. There was also a contest of all 30+ dealers tracked by sales, customer visits, plans in the works and attendance to the factory. Custom Woodcraft Builders came in 3^rd of all Golden Eagle Log Home Dealers.

Just under way is a VERY unique timber frame and log post project in the heart of Indianapolis – right in Broad Ripple on the Monon Trail.  This summer Custom Woodcraft will be erecting a douglass fir timber frame with a ‘tree’ design out of the braces, SIP walls and roof with a reclaimed douglass fir glass ‘tunnel’ transition into a remodeled 50+ year old existing home.  Designed by Method Architects and a Ball State University architect professor, Woodcraft Builders and its Beamery custom frames were uniquely qualified to handcraft this job.

Custom Woodcraft exhibited and sponsored the Log & Timber Home University at the recent Indianapolis Log & Timber Frame Show.  Included in the booth was a full Beamery poplar timber frame, a complete Golden Eagle Log Homes display from corporate in Wisconsin, Thermocore SIPS sample and several blueprints and photos of recent log home and timber frame home projects.

The show was a huge success meeting with ‘shovel ready’ homeowners from Texas, Canada, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, and of course several here in Indiana.

Handcrafted timber frame trusses recently made and shipped to Stimson Log Homes in Arkansas.  Custom Woodcraft often sells to other builders its trusses and bents.

Custom Woodcraft’s architect, design and feasibility study is underway for a new project on Morse Lake in Monroe County, Indiana, for a new timber frame home project.

Custom Woodcraft exhibited at the recent Ft. Wayne Outdoor Sports, Lake & Cabin Show displaying all services of the company.  Included in the booth was a Beamery timber frame truss, Golden Eagle Log Homes log and corner samples, Thermocore SIPS sample and several blueprints and photos of recent log home and timber frame home projects.

Woodcraft Builders recently completed two new handcrafted timber frame round barns made from all reclaimed lumber.  One of the barns even has a tree in the middle of it.
