10/24/08 - Custom Woodcraft Builders exhibits in Indiana's first 'Green Expo' in Ft. Wayne Indiana October 24-26, 2008. Custom Woodcraft featured SIP panels, reclaimed lumber and the many benefits of building 'green' and how to 'get off the grid'.

9/12/08 - Custom Woodcraft Builders begins to sell trusses and entry facades to other builders and architects. This web site has one page dedicated to timber frame trusses and also has rolled out two web sites exclusively promoting these products: Timbertrusses.net and Timbertruss.net. 8/22/08 - Custom Woodcraft Builders has been asked to consult and help build a 9400 sq. ft. log conference center for the U.S. Army at Camp Atteberry just south of Indianapolis IN.

7/1/08 - Our Fishers IN log home project will have Hamilton Counties very first Presby Septic system. Custom Woodcraft Builders had to 'think out of the box' with the space constraints in this project. Monroe Site Work has done the engineering on this and work closely with the Hamilton County Health Department for approval.

6/15/08 - Custom Woodcraft Builders purchases the log building educational and informational web site of www.universityofloghomes.com. The site is being entirely revamp for a new roll-out Jan. 1 of 2009. We are currently accepting articles for updates and re-writes of each page. 6/1/08 - Summit Handcrafted Logs out of Idaho has been selected to provide the 12" hand-hewn pre-cut log kit for our Fishers Indiana log house project. Eagle Panel will be providing the SIPS.

5/19/08 - A returned helicopter pilot of Indianapolis Indiana from the Gulf War has hired Custom Woodcraft Builders to design and draw blueprints for their timber frame home west of Indianapolis on 42 acres in Putnam County Indiana.

5/1/08 - Custom Woodcraft Builders has negotiated an additional 8% discount on structural insulated panels (SIPS) from Eagle Panel for orders placed in the next 90 days. This 8% on top of the 8% dealer commission that we pass directly on to the client make buying time and energy saving SIPS never more affordable.

4/15/08 - CWB is hand making all barn doors and hay loft doors for the Mud Creek timber frame barn project.

3/16/08 - CWB has taken bids from 8 different log home manufacturers from around the country to make sure its client are getting the absolute best price for their log home in Indiana.

3/7/08 - The owners of the Mud Creek timber frame barn project have chosen all Indiana poplar for the board & baton siding, tongue & groove ceiling and loft. All wood is being logged, milled, kiln dried and installed by hand for total authenticity. No wood on this project is from the 'local lumber yard'.

2/19/08 - The Handron's have contracted with Custom Woodcraft Builders to design their new timber frame home on 12 wooded acres north of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

1/26/08 - An artist couple in Fishers have contracted with Custom Woodcraft Builders to design and build a new 3600 sq. ft. log home with 3 car garage and 2 studios. The project will be nestled into their beautiful wooded lot on the north side of Indianapolis Indiana in Fishers. The job will also include the demolition and removal of their existing home. Work should start this spring.

12/18/07 - Foundation dug for our Mud Creek 2200 sq. ft. timber frame barn in Indianapolis.

11/29/07 - Structural insulated panels (SIPs) and tongue & grove ceiling were successfully installed at our Zionsville IN timber frame project in the middle of a snow storm. Yes, Custom Woodcraft Builders works year round in all kinds of weather.

11/14/07 - The 3600 sq. ft. timber frame home raising project in Zionsville IN was completed in 2 1/2 days. Invitations for a hard hat tour of the SIP panel installation will be sent out next week.

11/13/07 - Custom Woodcraft Builders applied for and was successfully granted two variances petitions for a timber frame product in Indianapolis IN via the Division of Planning and Metropolitan Development of the City of Indianapolis IN.

11/2/07 - The timber frame will be 'raised' the week of November 12th for our Zionsville project. SIP panels will follow 2 weeks later.

10/29/07 - The Dewes Family in Indianapolis just could not find anyone to add a custom deck, roof and skylights to his log home utilizing the timbers from his property as the main post and generally matching the rustic look of the existing cabin and setting. No problem for Custom Woodcraft Builders. The project begins November 9th and will wrap up by years end.

10/1/07 - David Marquart hired to supervise the stacking of two log homes at the Denver Log Home & Timber Frame Expo at the Denver Merchandise Mart. David has worked this event for over a 10 years.

9/20/07 - Custom Woodcraft Builders (CWB) sponsored the exhibitor lounge at the Log & Timber Frame Expo in Chicago. David Marquart, President of CWB, was on hand to meet with exhibiting manufacturers and various industry suppliers as well as meet with customers to help choose the log or timber style to fit their needs.

7/19/07 - Custom Woodcraft Builders is hired by Harlan Industries to build a 4200 square foot log home as a company retreat. The home will be built on Zion Lake outside of Seymour Indiana in the spring of 2008..

6/12/07 - Custom Woodcraft Builders is hired as the general contractor for the new 3600 sq. ft. timber frame home of an Indianapolis doctor couple and family on 10 acres just outside of Zionsville Indiana. The timber frame is being provided by Timbersmith and the frame will be erected this fall.

5/8/07 - Custom Woodcraft Builders contracted to build a 2200 sq. ft barn carriage house featuring traditional mortise and tenon timber framing as well as a back yard 'pavilion around a huge outdoor fireplace - also a timber frame. Project can be seen on Mud Creek Road in Marion County Indiana and will start the first of December. Frame provided by The Beamery.
